this is penistone is setup and run by Darren Holmes on behalf of Penistone Community Radio. Penistone Community Radio is a voluntary community radio station serving Penistone & District, part of Penistone Community Radio's Aims are to interact with the community in off air non radio projects as well as the obvious on air ones.

Penistone Community Radio have lots of ideas on how to do this, and one of them was to provide a comprehensive what's on guide and information on their own site www.PenistoneCommunityRadio.co.uk, however we felt that a community radio station would not necessarily be the first port of call for internet surfers looking for Penistone Information.

So that is why we set up this site, this also enables us to do more than just add a what's on page, the sky is the limit.

The site is built in Dreamweaver and the audio and interviews, and eventually the blog will come from Penistone Community Radio. The pictures have been taken either by our volunteers or have been submitted by local people.
